The Challenge
Club La Maison in Wayne, PA had been a “Snacks Only” customer, and a great candidate for a shake/smoothie bar for several years, before they hired a new GM that had been a PFC customer at another location. Once their new GM convinced them to take the plunge, the only real challenge was where to put a shake/smoothie bar within their facility.
The Solution
Our Regional Sales Manager, Andrea Fretz enlisted the help of Ryan Kehl, PFC’s Design & Build Department Director. After a site survey and some discovery conversations about key concerns, including budget, Ryan and his team proposed a complete refit of their existing check-in desk to include more contemporary finishes, along with complete food service functionality. Because there wasn’t a re-design of the entire facility planned, an additional challenge was to update the check-in desk and smoothie bar without making the rest of the space look “dated” alongside it. Additionally, the customer wanted to continue in operation throughout the entire conversion, so a plan was put in place to move slow and steady through the conversion.
The Result
Starting in late May and culminating in a staff training the first week in December, Club La Maison rolled out their PFC designed and stocked Shake/Smoothie Bar to rave reviews. Club La Maison increased their incidental revenue by capitalizing on and re-purposing prime real estate within their facility. After immediate success, they completely bought into the PFC protocols and decided to broaden their snack and supplement offerings with a swiig Retail Gondola, featuring not just snacks, but protein & functional supplements, dried fruits & veggies, and more. Approaching a year of service with their shake/smoothie bar, the members are loving the shakes and Club La Maison is loving the added revenue!
